Now they’re trying to kill our law enforcement officials.

Via U.S. News & World Report:

“PHOENIX (AP) — A fatal shootout between federal officers in Arizona and a suspected migrant smuggler packing an AK-47 has provided a glimpse inside the brutal tactics of traffickers who sometimes prey on recent border-crossers, even holding them against their will to shake down their families.

Agents killed 29-year-old driver Theresa Medina Thomas on April 11 and arrested 35-year-old Warren Earl Jose, who was armed in the front passenger seat. A third suspect was in the backseat with Spanish-speaking migrants, a man and an adolescent girl.

This undated photo provided by the Arizona Department of Corrections shows of Warren Earl Jose from an earlier sentence he served in state prison. A recent fatal shootout between federal officers in Arizona and Jose, a suspected migrant smuggler packing an AK-47, has provided an unusual glimpse inside the world of traffickers who sometimes prey on recent border-crossers, even holding them against their will to shake down their families. Jose, the main suspect in the shootout, now faces charges including conspiracy to transport migrants resulting in death and assault on a federal officer. (Arizona Department of Corrections via AP)

Jose is being held on suspicion of a conspiracy to transport migrants that resulted in death.

Agents were looking for Jose as a suspect after a dehydrated migrant who had blistered feet was picked up in the desert and threatened before escaping days later.”

AZ Central reported further:

“Federal agents were attempting to stop a vehicle with several occupants when people inside the vehicle exchanged gunfire with the agents, police said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials would only say the agents were met with a threat that prompted the agents to respond by firing weapons.

Agents were attempting to stop a person suspected in human smuggling activity, officials aid.

The shooting occurred in the area 48th and Kiowa streets, between Warner and Elliot roads.

Four other occupants in the vehicle were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. Four federal agents were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Updates on their conditions were not provided by authorities.”

289 Migrants Rescued From Big Rigs In Mexico – Most Have Chickenpox, Measles & Other Diseases

Published

It’s unknown how many migrants who cross into the U.S. illegally have diseases, but this is an example of what could be coming into our communities.

KVEO-TV is reporting:

“TAMAULIPAS, Mexico – The first images of a large group of Central American migrants rescued from the back of two big rigs in the state of Tamaulipas.

The group says they were on the way to enter the U.S. somewhere along the border. Most of the 289 migrants, including children, had chickenpox, measles, and other diseases. This according to Mexican Health officials.

The migrants were found crammed into freight compartments in two tractor trailer rigs. Authorities had to punch a hole in one of the containers to free the migrants. The group is now in the hands of Mexican Immigration authorities.”
